What is Health Coaching?

It is about helping and supporting people to optimise and self-manage their health, through implementing a range of strategies and techniques. A health coach can support you to manage weight, reduce stress, optimise diet, establish an appropriate exercise routine, and improve sleep.

Most people know what they need to do, but struggle to know where to start, or how to keep going. Working with a health coach makes it easier to make lifestyle changes, by giving you the space, support, and information you need, along with providing accountability.

Programmes:

Clinical Weight Loss Programme

This programme takes place over 8 one-hour sessions

It is not a diet, or a quick fix, but about utilising the most up to date science-based information and techniques to support you in making the necessary changes to enable weight loss to take place, over the long term

This programme may be for you if you struggle with maintaining a health weight and; have arthritis, as losing weight has been shown to reduce pain and improve quality of life; you are awaiting surgery and have been advised by your doctor to lose weight beforehand; or you would like to reduce your risk of developing secondary complications from an existing health condition

What is included?

A range of questionnaires to personalise your plan, for example, looking at your current diet and health status, weight loss goals, weight loss personality, relationship with food, stress levels, sleep quality, and eating behaviours

  • Body composition analysis
  • Creation, implementation and fine-tuning of your personalised nutritional programme
  • Support with managing stress and improving sleep quality (factors which are known to affect someone’s ability to lose weight)
  • Specific action steps and physical activity planning to support your programme and improve body composition
  • A wealth of information on the science and theory behind a range of approaches, and how to implement them into your own life
  • 8-weeks of email support and fine-tuning to ensure we understand everything about your unique needs

Integrative Wellness Programme

This programme takes place over 8 one-hour sessions

It allows for a more in-depth look at your current nutrition, stress levels, sleep routine, exercise routine, and any other aspects of your health you would like to address, and will be tailored to you, based on your own personal goals and aims

The programme is designed to optimise your health and wellbeing, and enable you to reach your full potential

What is included?

A range of questionnaires to personalise your plan, and understand, for example, your current diet and eating patterns, sleep routine, stresses, and levels of physical activity

  • Creation, implementation and fine-tuning of your personalised nutritional programme
  • Mutually agree goals to work on, and worksheets to complete to keep you on track
  • A wealth of information on the science and theory behind a range of approaches and how to implement them into your own life
  • 8-weeks of email support and fine-tuning to ensure we understand everything about your unique needs

Health coaching can be incorporated within Physiotherapy sessions, or offered as a stand-alone service.

Sessions can be booked individually, or as part of a course.
